How billing works
Your projected tier can change before your renewal.
Rivet’s intended model uses monthly anniversary billing. Moving into another rental-count tier does not create an immediate mid-cycle charge.
A company with 10 active rentals adds rental #11 halfway through its billing period. Nothing is charged at that moment. The projected next monthly price becomes $29, and the applicable tier is billed at the next anniversary.
Rivet should show the projected next charge before renewal. The same approach is intended to apply when an active-rental count moves down.
Active rentals, not inventory pieces
A rental record is the unit of billing. One washer/dryer set under one active rental record equals one active rental. Inventory not assigned to an active rental equals zero billable rentals.
Every tier is intended to use Rivet’s core product capabilities; count affects billing size, not which core workflows are available.
More than 250 active rentals?
Volume pricing is reviewed with Rivet so the billing approach fits the scale and operating needs of your rental business.

Clear expectations before renewal.
What counts as an active rental?
One billable rental means one active rental record. Physical inventory sitting in a warehouse does not determine the subscription price.
Does each piece of equipment count?
No. Rivet prices by active rental record, not by individual inventory pieces. A washer/dryer set under one active rental record counts as one rental.
When does my monthly price change?
Rivet is being prepared to apply the applicable active-rental tier at the next monthly renewal, with the projected next charge visible before renewal.
Will adding a rental charge my card immediately?
No immediate mid-cycle tier charge is planned. Adding a rental can change the projected next monthly tier; the applicable tier is charged at renewal.
What if my active-rental count decreases?
Tier movement is intended to work downward as well as upward at the next renewal.
When is my billing date?
The intended model is monthly anniversary billing, based on your account’s renewal date.
Are card-processing fees included?
Payment-processing fees are separate where applicable. Exact terms remain subject to the Rivet Terms of Service.
What happens above 250 rentals?
Accounts with 251 or more active rentals require a volume-pricing review.
Does the free plan require payment immediately?
The free tier is intended for 0–3 active rentals. Rivet is not claiming that automatic billing is live today.
Do lower-priced plans get fewer core features?
No. Rental-count pricing is a billing-size mechanism, not a core-feature entitlement ladder.
