Rivet privacy notice

How Rivet handles service information.

This notice describes the information Rivet processes to provide rental management software and the controls available to workspace owners and users.

Effective September 29, 2026

Information Rivet processes

Rivet processes account and contact details, company settings, team access, customer and rental records, inventory, documents, schedules, invoices, payment status, service history, support messages, and technical usage information that you or your team provide while using the service.

How information is used

Rivet uses this information to create and secure accounts, operate tenant workspaces, provide rental workflows, process authorized billing and renter payments, deliver support, investigate errors, prevent misuse, and meet legal obligations.

Payments and financial records

Stripe processes payment methods, connected-account onboarding, charges, refunds, and payouts. Rivet stores provider identifiers, status, amounts, and accounting evidence needed to operate and reconcile those transactions; Rivet does not store full card numbers. When LedgerLine accounting is enabled for a workspace, Rivet sends the tenant-scoped customer, invoice, payment, and refund records needed for that accounting service.

Hosting and service providers

Rivet uses service providers for application hosting, database and authentication services, payment processing, accounting integrations, email delivery, file storage, monitoring, and security. Those providers process information only for the services they supply to Rivet and its customers.

Tenant control and data separation

Each Rivet workspace is tenant-scoped. Workspace owners and authorized team members control access to their company records. Public payment and agreement links expose only the information required for the recipient to complete that specific action.

Retention and deletion

Rivet retains information while an account is active and as needed for service delivery, transaction records, security, dispute handling, backups, and legal obligations. Subscription cancellation does not automatically delete tenant or business data.

Your choices

Workspace owners can review and update company information, manage team access, and use available tenant export controls. To request access, correction, export, or deletion assistance, use the Get Started contact form and describe the workspace and request.

Security and changes

Rivet uses technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including authenticated access and tenant-scoped controls. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Rivet may update this notice as the service changes and will publish the current effective date on this page.
