Rivet billing terms
Subscription pricing, renewal, and cancellation.
These terms explain how Rivet counts billable rentals and handles free accounts, paid activation, monthly renewals, tier changes, and cancellation.
Effective September 21, 2026 · Version rivet-billing-terms-v2-2026-09-21
1. Billable rental records
Rivet pricing is based on billable rental records, not individual inventory units. A washer/dryer set under one rental record counts as one rental. Open paused rentals count while equipment remains assigned; archived rentals do not count.
2. Free tier and transition
Zero through three billable rentals are Free. Adding the fourth rental is allowed immediately, charges $0 at that time, and starts a seven-day transition. Returning to three or fewer during that window cancels the transition and paid billing does not begin.
3. Paid activation
If the account remains above three after the transition, paid recurring billing may begin only after all payment and authorization requirements are satisfied. The exact reviewed bracket and monthly amount apply.
4. Monthly billing and tier changes
When paid billing begins, that paid start establishes the monthly billing anniversary. Rivet may charge the accepted monthly subscription amount and continue monthly on that anniversary. Later bracket changes apply at the next anniversary without an immediate charge, credit, refund, or automatic proration.
5. Volume pricing
Accounts with 251 or more billable rentals require Rivet volume-pricing review and are not automatically assigned a published Stripe price.
6. Stripe payment-method storage
Your saved payment method is stored by Stripe. Saving it alone did not authorize a charge. This separate authorization permits Rivet to use that saved method for recurring Rivet SaaS subscription charges under the exact review you accept.
7. Withdrawing authorization
You may withdraw an unexecuted billing authorization before paid billing is activated.
8. Cancellation
You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period, access continues through that date, and the subscription will not renew afterward. There is no automatic prorated refund for unused days. Billing mistakes may be reviewed separately. Cancellation does not delete tenant or business data.
