How to Release a Dryer Belt

Before you begin

  • Disconnect the dryer from electrical power.
  • Open the cabinet and remove the front panel using procedures appropriate for the appliance.

Important safety notes

  • Do not work around a powered motor or exposed moving parts. Note the belt path before removal and use the manufacturer diagram when reinstalling it.
